Five reasons Chelsea would be mad to consider this big money swap deal

On the surface, swapping in Alvaro Morata for Eden Hazard doesn’t sound plausible or likely.

Yet, it has been reported that this is a possibility, along with a sizeable amount of cash, of course. How likely it is remains to be seen, but sometimes there’s no smoke without fire.

It appears to be an idea that Real Madrid are floating, rather than one coming from Stamford Bridge and although it is rumoured that Antonio Conte wants both at Chelsea, he could be swayed based upon the Belgian’s lacklustre performances last season.

Morata seems to be the striker in the news at the moment, with a number of teams looking at taking him on, but once again, as with Michy Batshuayi, the Blues will be relying on the lure of a big club and Conte due to the obvious lack of European football.
